Matthew 18:19 {KJV} Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
Hello, my name is Rhonda R. Parton, and to let you know why I have started this website, I will give you a little background.  I am normally found on AOL under the screen name RnR4Ever61.  Over the past eight months I have met many people who are now my online friends and a lot in person friends now as well.  At least once a month I go to check my email and find a friend or chatroom mate asking prayer for a real need.  Not "oh my online boyfriend left me" or any such just a real true need for their friends to help them pray.

I have often wished there was an interactive website where one could post their prayer request and share their support and prayers and answers.  I considered knocking on the virtual door of some of the hosting sites to see if I could get them to donate a site, but when I saw Homestead and it's features in a Berst Alert Newsletter, the very day I had discussed it with a good friend and my Mother, I decided to give it a shot.

Father, I come to You in the first minutes of a new day, You have graciously given, and although it's cyberspace, Your children here hurt and have needs that only You can meet.  I hope I have done the right thing by starting this website............I have met a bunch of brothers and sisters online that I dearly love and I thank You from them.  I pray Father God that this day You bless all of us and this little website where all can ask for intercession for their needs............whether they be big  or small ones.
In Jesus name I pray,
Giving thee, dear Lord the honor and the glory for all things.
AMEN and AMEN

Prayer is a wonderous and marvelous thing.  God has given us this way of bringing our needs to Him, however we often forget He is capable and doesn't need our help.  Please check out the poem attached to the link at the left...............it illustrates this point so well.

Earth's Loss Heaven's Gain
Click on the link at the left to go to our Sister Site EarthsLossHeavensGain  This  site goes hand in hand with the page "With The Angels" here on this site.  Theresa Mayerbach founded and is maintaining the sister site.  If you have a loved one who has gone on to eternity and you'd like to do a memorial to them please go here and email Theresa with your memorial.  For all saints who have passed before us to meet God are truly Earth's loss, but Heaven's gain.   What better way to honor them then here on the "World Wide Web" so all can know what they meant to us while they were here.
We here at God Hears Us are getting excited.  We are growing again; expanding our horizions and venturing out in faith into [for us] uncharted territory.  Look for a new page coming soon that will detail how you can help us grow.  Visit here to learn how to help us with our "Growing Pains".

Many of those who are members of this site and/or frequent visitors are going through some really hard times, loss of a job, bad health, a loved one who is gravely ill, or perhaps they have already had a loved on called out of this world.  Though those things make it hard for us as humans to look up and be thankful, I think it is very important we make a daily effort to do just that.

I know how hard that is, as I lost my grandmother June 2000, I have friends who have lost loved ones and for them my heart aches, I lost my job, November 28, 2000.  But the Bible tells us in Ephesians 5:20 "Giving thanks always for all things unto God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."
And that goes hand in hand with Romans 8:28  "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."   In these two verses it says "all things", not just all good things.  It is so very hard to be thankful for what is seemingly 'bad' in our lives, but God uses those things to draw us closer to Him.  If we can praise Him and give thanks to Him in the bad times, we set the example for those around us who do not know Jesus as their Saviour.  It also gives a chance to be a witness for Him to these same people.  When they ask us how in our current situation can we smile, sing a song, hold our heads up and praise God, though our world be crumbling around us, we can smile a little bigger and say because Jesus lives in my heart and God the Father has a plan and I thank Him that He has chosen it for me.  Then they want to know this Jesus we are bragging on.

Summer with it's long days and many activities is gone, however, let us daily stop and remember He'll help carry our burden and if need be carry us as well.  So let us show the world our Jesus.  Whenever you go to do something or something doesn't go quite right, before you act, ask earnestly "What Would Jesus Do?"  Then, put on that smile and let those around you see what may be '
the only Bible they'll ever read'................YOU.

For a long time I left the Habitat For Humanity Logo from our first Christmas [2000] to remind everyone that giving is a year round thing.  Habitat for Humanity is no longer partnered with Homestead.com, so therefore the logo is no longer available for my use.  But, this message has not changed simply because an affiliation between a company and an organization changed.  We do not serve God only a few days a year.  And we are to be servants to our fellow man.  Christ said in Matthew 23: 8-12, that we are not to exalt ourselves to our fellow man.  Verse 12 reads "And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted."  I can assure you one becomes very humble when helping with a project like Habitat.  I've never had the opportunity to do so, but by supporting them Christmas 2000 via these websites, someone was helped.  My former husband and I had our own business in landscaping at one time our slogan was:
"Dedicated to Serving God, by Serving Mankind".
We based that slogan on Colossians 3:17 & 23.
17)  And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
23)  And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily as to the Lord, and not
unto men;
If you continue and read the next verse as well,
you will understand our reasoning.
24)  Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance:  for ye serve the Lord Christ.

We strove to do every job we got as though we were doing it for Christ.  Again back in Matthew, you will find Christ told the disciples how what we do for others in His name we have done for Him.  Let us pray we treat our fellow man as though we were their servants rather than "lording" over them.  We do not always know why they are in the situations they are in, but God does and we need to seek His wisdom to share His grace and mercy and love with all, for we must remember that in our Heavenly Father's eyes..........there are NO BIG I's AND LITTLE U's.
